The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

The HR Global Data Warehouse Team is currently looking for a Business Objects Software Engineer . This individual will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of the Global Data Warehouse Platform (GDW) for Reporting Team. They will be responsible for the operational and/or technological changes required to ensure the highest degree of service and production environment integrity for GDW End User population within JPMorgan Chase. This individual will also be asked to work on a highly agile team, and drive strategic adaption firm wide. Knowledge of all phases of software development life cycles (SDLC), supporting a software application suite / infrastructure, and Quality Assurance programs are preferred.
Responsibilities Include :
Work with the peers in development, engineering & architecture to maintain and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Platform.
Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), mentoring less experienced team members, code reviews.
Perform the role of an Application Developer and Analyst on projects in releases, supporting Data content, Reporting, Configurations, Extracts, and Operating Model activities.
Review business requirements for the projects, providing feedback to requirements submitters on quality and completeness of requirements against the understood projects.
Co-author / Create the detailed technical functional specifications for assigned projects.
Lead the review of project specifications with the Development Team to ensure they have a common understanding of the project.
Ensure the required specifications have been uploaded to the Work Force Technology site of preference and have been linked to the business requirements.
Key leadership role in SIT testing, including partnering and reviewing of QA testing results for the project.
Interface with UAT testers and participate in UAT defect triage support and remediation.
Provide assessments of Change Requests after investigation by the team; During Implementation, participate in the implementation planning activities.
Consult on production support issues as needed (L3 role).
Deliver the assigned work within specified timelines with high quality.
Identify and communicate potential impacts of a change/issue to other areas.
Should possess good communication skills and solid knowledge on software delivery lifecycle in large organization.
Demonstrates sound analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with issues.
Set and manage functional objectives, establish and evolve operating environments and lead innovation efforts.
Partner with Application Development, QA, and Architecture and Engineering groups on all release and support activities.
Ensure compliance with JPMC’s risks and controls policies/procedures and best practice.
Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
BS / MS degree Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience as a software developer / engineer.
5+ years of Software Development within an IT organization; in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
5+ years experience in Business Intelligence, preferably SAP Business Objects; experience with Qlikview, Tableau and any other Analytical Products for dashboard / report development is a plus.
2+ years Oracle, PL/SQL including triggers, stored procedures, queries, etc. (Oracle 11g).
2+ years’ experience with large Data Warehouse and handling high data volumes.
Financial Services experience a plus.
Working experience with OLAP Database design.
Working experience with Crystal WeBi Reports required.
Experienced with / knowledge of BO Universe Development and Design.
Actuate Reporting experience, a plus.
Working experience with Microsoft product suite.
Knowledge of ETL tool – Informatica and Big Data-Hadoop a plus.
Source Code Management; hands on understanding a plus.
Very good knowledge of IT Service management principles.
Strong working experience with SDLC/Agile processes.
Working knowledge of various quality programs/standards.
Prior experience working within a multi-functional team consisting of Data Integration, Report Development, Analytics, Quality Assurance, Web Applications/Workflow Development.
Experience in performance testing and tuning exercises involving Informatica ETL processes and Business Objects report generation preferred.
Knowledge of the processes required for best-in-class unit testing, peer reviews and code migration across environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong team player, coach, and mentor skills.
Ability to influence others to come to consensus quickly.
Ability to manage conflict professionally.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in SDLC.
Experience with Microsoft product suite.
