Senior Manager, Digital Marketing

Purpose of the role
Provide strategic experience to the digital & broader Marketing team specifically in the areas of web, search, social & email strategy which are key focus areas for Moneris’ digital marketing growth. Work very closely with the Director, Digital Marketing to initiate, prioritize and oversee the website development roadmap (including consolidation of all existing external properties & ecommerce sites) to drive the business goals for lead acquisition, enhance Moneris’ brand position & improve the digital customer experience with a multi-channel approach. Ensure all digital marketing channels are utilized in an Omni-channel marketing approach.

You will be accountable for
Work with Director, Digital Marketing to develop & implement the overall Moneris web strategy & web marketing plan across the business. Manage major website projects and initiatives, including large-scale redesigns and the development of online tools, interactive features and digital capabilities to respond to business needs.
Manage website governance processes, including provision of effective content management system (CMS) training and ongoing support to content specialists and other internal stakeholders, enabling them to continually enhance and maintain an innovative, up-to-date and customer-focused website.
Monitor, assess and optimize on overall website performance including SEO performance. Responsible for organic (SEO) keyword research & ad copy development, implementation, optimization and performance.
Manage & oversee all of Paid Search campaigns along with spends to pace with target budget.
Provide strategic planning direction and campaign management for all product & mass acquisition search marketing programs.
Manage relationships with search engine vendors (Google, Bing, Facebook, etc.) and other third parties. Stay current with all search industry developments and best practices.
Work closely with Content Specialist for web content to support SEO requirements
Manage & lead social media team, social media strategy & social content development, with a strong focus on driving social community growth and customer engagement.
Develop influencer outreach program & build an active external brand ambassador network.
Grow internal social strategy to create brand ambassadors and utilize internal networks to support awareness and engagement.
Evaluate new social channels and identify best use for each channel to support Moneris’ lead generation & brand awareness goals.
Support Customer Experience team with Social Care needs if required
Create email marketing plan to develop and optimize email templates, landing pages and any other creative needed to execute on digital marketing initiatives & improve the effectiveness of the channel.
Lead the development of email deployment calendar, A/B testing plans & oversee the effective deployment of all email campaigns including Welcome Cadence program.
Work with the Analytics team to define & measure appropriate email KPIs.
Collaborate with Marketing Operations to ensure technical requirements for email & automation deployment are met
Manage & evaluate team performance. Provide leadership, coaching & mentoring to direct reports
Your experience includes
University degree is required
7-10 years of experience in a strategic digital marketing role (equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)
3-5 years of leadership/ people management experience
Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset
Web development & hands on content management systems (CMS) experience (Sitecore is an asset)
Social media platforms, email deployment & marketing automation software (Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
Must have PPC (display), SEM experience with Google & Bing AdWords, Facebook Ads & solid knowledge of bidding strategies
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics
Proficient and knowledge with Microsoft Windows/MS Office Applications
Effectively communicate with clients and internal teams at all levels
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize projects
Proven ability to influence and collaborate in a matrix organization
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
Strong analytical skills & data-driven thinking
Proven success with training, and influencing cross-functional/internal clients.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal)
Bilingual in French is considered an asset
