Canadian Forex is looking for a full-time Business Development Representative to join our growing team. Your responsibilities will include: generating and qualifying quality Corporate Business leads. As well as managing lead follow ups to the point of handover to the Business Development Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic sales team. The role offers a fast paced introduction to corporate FX sales. It also incorporates our sales excellence development programme with the longer term opportunity to advance into a Business Development Manager Role.
What you’ll do:
Consistently exceeding 300 outbound calls per week
Consistently generating 6 quality leads per week
Regularly exceeding New Dealing Client (NDC) and Revenue targets
Qualifying prospects and setting appointments for the BDM team
Contacting prospects and gaining commitment from them to agree a meeting or phone demonstration for a BDM to conduct
Maintaining up to date knowledge of products, service or systems changes and continuing to learn about and understand the OzForex products and services
Attending, participating in and contributing to team meetings, briefings and training ensuring that support is given to colleagues at all times in order to achieve team objectives
Always behaving in a professional and effective manner when dealing with customers and colleagues alike providing first class service to both external and internal customers
What you’ll bring:
University degree preferred
Community college equivalent in business/finance
Minimum 6 months previous experience in a Direct Sales role
Previous telesales experience, preferable 8x8 Sales experience
Knowledge, skills, experience
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent telephone demeanour and comfortable making outbound warm and cold calls.
Ability to think quickly on your feet and deal with rejections.
Strong listening skills.
Knowledge of working towards defined targets.
Extremely organised and able to plan ahead.
Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
Maintain a positive attitude and self-motivated.
Possess the hunger to learn and improve.
Can do attitude and driven to succeed.
Professional approach to clients and team members alike.
Passionate and have a genuine interest in a sales and/or marketing career.
