Reporting to the Software Infrastructure Team Leader the Oracle Database Developer will be responsible for adding new features and maintaining existing features of the database applications used in SI processing software system.
The incumbent will support production users in relation to the Oracle database applications and its usage for their day to day activities. They will cooperate with DBA and other support teams to efficiently manage the database applications for production usage and future growth.
The successful candidate will design and implement new database applications and adding capabilities in the existing applications as per business needs and user requests using cutting edge technologies to efficiently withstand application and data growth. They will maintain and apply bug fixes to the existing applications as per user needs.
Required Education And Experience
The ideal candidate for this role will be educated to Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer science or a related field. They must have strong core ORACLE SQL and PL/SQ programming skills with hands on working experience (ORACLE 11g R2 or later).
It is essential that the candidate has excellent analytical skills and the ability to work as a team member with strong communication and problem solving skills. Knowledge of relational database systems, data modelling and schema normalisation techniques is required.
Knowledge and experience with UNIX (Linux), C/C++ programming and XML is desired. ORACLE database administration experience (especially RAC) and exposure to Data mining and Data analytics is ideal, as well as knowledge of software development "best practises" and the software lifecycle.
