IHG Americas’ Regional Corporate
Office is centrally located at the beautiful Ravinia Complex just outside
Atlanta’s Perimeter (I-285), offering a convenient commute from all areas of
Metro Atlanta. In addition to being easily accessible from all major highways,
the complex provides a free shuttle service between the office, the nearby
Perimeter Mall and MARTA train station for alternative commuting options during

Job Summary –
The AmericasPMO Project Managerensures the successful implementation of new
processes, programs, and/or systems for the Americas Region. This
individual is responsible for leading various project teams and utilizing
project management discipline to implement major initiatives, which involves
balancing competing demands among scope, time, cost, and quality, stakeholders
with differing needs and expectations, identifying requirements (needs) and
unidentified requirements (expectations) and working concurrently with multiple
client departments and other franchise communities as project plans are
developed and executed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement
strategic Americas Regional initiatives; addressing and handling risks and
issues on a day-to-day basis
  • Establish
measurement plans and adopt the appropriate quality procedures to ensure
smooth and compliant launch and sustainment of these initiatives
  • Manage all
internal project team communications of progress and issues with external
and internal stakeholders
  • Develop
project plans related to the project, associated testing and/or pilots,
and full launches for each project as needed
  • Monitor the
work associated with each work stream.
  • Develop and
deliver project status updates as needed
  • Update project
management systems with required reporting metrics

Desired Skills and Experience
Education–Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business
Marketing, Hospitality, or an equivalent combination of education and
work-related experience
Certifications–PMP®//CAPM®/SixSigma
preferred
Experience–
  • 6-8 years’
project management experience responsible for managing large scale,
cross-divisional, cross-functional projects with numerous stakeholders.
  • 6-8 years
progressive work-related experience in marketing and/or hotel operations
and/or a related hospitality field.
  • Demonstrated
proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position,
including experience managing projects, change management and/or Six Sigma
continuous improvement.
Technical Skills -
  • Demonstrated project management experience in
organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception
through implementation.
  • Completed a project management training program
  • Strong consultative skills and demonstrated
ability to achieve corporate business objectives across functional
boundaries.
  • Strong negotiator and able to influence those
outside own team. Ability to lead a team in a matrix environment
  • Must possess
strong communication skills, written and verbal; articulate, persuasive
& influential; systematic and timely. Will be responsible for
developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders. Ability
to maintain confidential data required
  • Experience with project management software,
e.g.MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio and MS Excel
  • Experience managing teams in a leadership
capacity and working in a team environment.
